The moving feature gets the attention, but the cabinet's proportions make the model convincing.
The curved top, recessed screen and slightly projecting control panel establish the arcade shape before any printed detail is added. That outline is why the model remains recognisable from across a room.
A silhouette borrowed from the arcade
Side panels use subtle stepping instead of large specialised shells. The construction keeps the cabinet sturdy and introduces just enough variation to prevent the black surfaces from appearing flat.
The mechanism is still satisfying, but it works because the object around it feels complete. Without the careful proportions, the motion would read as a loose play feature rather than part of a miniature machine.
